Growing Shouldn't Mean Guessing
Small-scale greenhouse growers juggled a wall of disconnected gadgets — a temperature gauge here, a manual irrigation timer there, humidity checked by hand twice a day. A missed reading on a hot afternoon could cost a whole crop, and nobody could keep watch around the clock.
The goal: one app that reads every sensor in real time and takes action automatically — so the greenhouse looks after itself while the grower gets on with growing.
What Growers Actually Need
Interviews with 11 greenhouse growers and 4 commercial nursery managers surfaced three findings that shaped the product:
Trust comes from "ideal ranges". A raw number like 28.6°C means little on its own — growers wanted every reading paired with the healthy range for their crop, so status is obvious at a glance.
Automation must stay legible. Growers wanted the system to act on its own, but only if they could read every rule as a plain "if this, then that" — and flip it off instantly when something felt wrong.
Glance first, dig later. The daily habit is a 5-second health check. One live overview had to answer "is everything ok?" before any charts or history.
A Live Overview & Rules That Run Themselves
The home leads with a Live Overview — temperature, humidity, and CO₂ as ring gauges, each with its ideal range beneath, plus a 24-hour environment trend and quick controls for irrigation, ventilation, lighting, and shade.
The Automation screen turns intent into plain-language rules — "if temperature rises above 30°C, turn on ventilation" — grouped into Rules, Schedules, and Scenes, each with a single toggle. The greenhouse acts on its own, and the grower stays in charge.
